Donna Freedland Realtor ®
I was born in Brooklyn, NY, Governor’s Island! My father got transferred to Camp Kilmer in NJ so we moved to Piscataway, where I grew up. When I got married, we moved to Weehawken and then to Warren Township in Somerset County where our children were raised.
After the children left home, we moved to NYC but throughout, always a home on LBI! My husband and I have both been visiting and living on LBI since we were kids! Over the years, we watched the market as renters, owners and landlord. We had always planned to live on the island full time and finally we were able to accomplish that about 11 years ago! So glad we did!
I am a lover of the water, whether it is swimming, kayaking or boating on the bay or ocean, or just sitting in the sand with a good book! I love to play golf, hike, rock climb, and ride horses and after decades here, I still love discovering new ways to enjoy the island life. (Contact me for some ideas!)
My professional background appears very varied; special education teacher, psychotherapist, owner of a commercial and residential design company, executive vice-president and real estate salesperson, however, they are very connected. I bring the ability to listen, to set goals and to get results. I understand how personal a home is and how big a decision it is to make. I also know how much pleasure and sense of pride a home can bring.
After more than 30 years on the island, I bring a personal knowledge of our lifestyle and the many options available in the surrounding area. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and love of the island life with you.
