No matter what your age, there will be fun for all at the Citta Scout Reservation on Brookville Road in Waretown in October.  Operation Halloween is a two day event open to the public.  The fun starts at 3:00 pm on Friday October 12 and at 11:00 am on Saturday October 13, 2012.

There will be plenty of things to do for the very young.  They can take a walk down the Pumpkin Street Safe Trick or Treat, paint a face on a free pumpkin, try their luck at a ring toss, or have their folks take their photo with a few scary characters in front of the Haunted House Living Room Wall.   There's even a Hayride.

For the more mature among us, there will be the very, very scary Zombie Outbreak Maze.  But don't be too afraid, because the organizers have hired the Zombie Contingency Agency to patrol this part of Operation Halloween.  Yes, you will be scared by dozens of unanticipated surprises, but you will have lots of laughs and you will want to go through more than once.  And while you're inside the maze, your friends outside will be able to track your progress.  Show up and see how.  Because the Zombie Outbreak takes place entirely indoors, you can be scared out of your wits in any kind of weather - rain or shine.

At 10:00 in the evening, the Ghost Tour will begin.  The organizers suggest that those with heart conditions, sit this one out.  And since the troops from the Zombie Contingency Agency have only been hired until 10:00, those who brave Ghost Tour will have to fend for themselves.

There will be music and entertainment for everyone.  Lunch, dinner or just your ordinary snacks can be purchased.  For those who wish to experience the Zombie Invasion, Hayride and/or Ghost Tour there is a single $10.00 fee for unlimited access to all three events for an entire day.  There will be plenty of free parking.

Operation Halloween is a joint effort between the Jersey Shore Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the five Rotary Clubs serving Southern Ocean County.  In addition, other non-profit groups will be participating.  these groups include the Interfaith Health and Support Services of Southern Ocean County, the Barnegat High School Interact Club, Zonta, Hometown Heroes and more.  All proceeds will be donated to charity. So gather the whole family and come on out to have some good, clean, wholesome fun.  For detail, visit the website at www.operationhalloween.zombieoutbreak.org
